Monzo helped define the modern UK digital bank. The app is clean, notifications are instant and savings pots make budgeting intuitive. It is strongest for day-to-day spending and travel within Europe, though some users wish for richer investment or credit options.

Monzo is my main account for spending and travel. I wish it had more investment options, but for daily banking it is excellent.
Using Monzo abroad is effortless and the exchange rate is fair. The freeze card feature also gives peace of mind.
Everything else is great, but the overdraft is expensive if you ever need it. I keep a backup account for emergencies.
